VAEMS.ORG email settings: Email settings:  (ONLY IF YOU ARE USING xxx@vaems.org as your actual email address)

If you use Outlook, Outlook Express, or Netscape as your email client, please set up the account as follows. Note that various versions of the email clients might differ slightly.

If you use OUTLOOK or OUTLOOK EXPRESS to check and send email, you must do the following: (Menu names, settings and tabs may differ slightly between versions)

If you use NETSCAPE 4.x to check and send email, you must do the following:
(Other versions of Netscape might be slightly different)

Open OUTLOOK or OUTLOOK EXPRESS

Open NETSCAPE NAVIGATOR

At the top, pull down the TOOLS menu

At the top, pull down the EDIT menu

Open ACCOUNTS (or SERVICES or EMAIL ACCOUNTS)

Open PREFERENCES

Click once on your vaems account in the window

Click the MAIL AND NEWSGROUPS option and click the + to expand that option

Click PROPERTIES button

Click MAIL SERVERS

Click SERVERS tab

In the “Incoming Mail Servers” window, click once to highlight your vaems server

Change Incoming Mail (POP3) to  vaems.org

Click the “EDIT” button

Change Outgoing Mail (SMTP) to vaems.org

Click the GENERAL tab

Set your “Account Name” to username@vaems.org”

(your email address)

Change the server name to vaems.org

Store your password if you wish

Change “User Name” to username@vaems.org”

(Your email address)

Click OK to close the window

OK the window

Close the Internet Accounts window

Back to the Mail Server window: Change “Outgoing Mail Server” to vaems.org

 

Click OK to close the window
